Canary Islands, a safe destination for your stay with LasCasasCanarias & Salobre Golf Villas during COVID-19
1. COVID test
From November 14 a COVID test is required to ensure a stay in the maximum conditions of safety and quality, and maintain the archipelago’s low incident rate for the pandemic.
The test must have been taken in the past 72 hours and be recognised by the healthcare authorities of your country or the European Union.
The certificate is compulsory for everyone over the age of six who wishes to stay at any tourist accommodation in Canary Islands.
You may show a digital or hard copy of it.
It must contain the date and time the test was taken, the identity of the individual taking it, the authorised centre responsible for verification, and the negative result.
This certificate will not be required for visitors who show proof (in the form of their travel document) that they have been in Canary Islands for 15 days or for Canary Islands residents who declare that they have not left the archipelago in the 15 days prior to arriving at this establishment. Neither the residents or the visitors can have had any symptoms of COVID-19 during that time.
As an exception, and if you state that you are willing to take a diagnostic test, we will provide you with details of the nearest authorised centre and we will allow you to enter and stay for the minimum time required to get your results. You will not be able to leave your accommodation unit until the results are received.
Arrivals from a risk area: Since November 23, 2020, all travelers entering Spain by air or sea and coming from a risk country / area are obliged to carry a negative PCR test result with them. This obligation does not apply to entry by land. The test may have been carried out a maximum of 72 hours before entry. The result must be available electronically or in paper form in English or Spanish and contain the following information: name of the traveler, passport or identity card number (this number must be identical to the passport / identity card number used in the electronic entry form), date of the realized test, contact details of the laboratory, test procedure used and negative test result.
2. A safe stay
The well-being of our clients has always been one of our main objectives. During COVID-19, that commitment gains even more importance. We are aware of our responsibility towards the health of our clients. In order to guarantee that you and your family can enjoy a safe and carefree vacation, we have updated our standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in accordance with the recommendations of the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality and the World Health Organization. These standards will be adapted based on upcoming recommendations and current regulations and will be imposed in cooperation with the administrators and cleaning services of our villas. The main measures adapted to ensure the cleanliness and security of our villas are:
Cleaning with authorized disinfecting products of proven efficacy. The airing of the rooms and the replacement of towels and bed linen will receive special attention. Owners will be advised to reduce the decorative elements as much as possible and to provide guests with a toilet bin with lid, bag and non-manual actuation. A system is defined to avoid cross contamination, providing a room with clean laundry only after cleaning and disinfecting the room.
High frequency of cleaning and reviews with disinfecting products, especially in the areas of greatest contact (surfaces, knobs, sinks, faucets, handles, elevators, reception desk, doors, keys / room cards, telephones, remote controls, button wc discharge, protection barriers, climate control, dryer, railings, terrace furniture, etc.).
The textiles will be washed at> 60 ° C and, in the case of externalized laundry service, the supplier will be informed of the minimum required temperature.
Safety and hygiene measures for cleaning staff. The cleaning staff will not provide service in the rooms without the client leaving the room, except in exceptional circumstances. Customers will be informed in advance of this measure.
In the pools, the guidelines and recommendations to be applied will follow the results of the requested scientific report on the behavior of COVID-19 in the water of both outdoor and indoor pools. Pool water hygiene will be ensured through chlorination systems and increases in filtration time. Customers are recommended to use the shower before each bath.
In line with this commitment, we ask our clients to be responsible during their stays and adhere to current safety and hygiene protocols.
3. Cancellation conditions for reservations
To deal with unforeseen situations due to COVID-19, we have relaxed our cancellation policy for reservations. In case of Canary Islands will close for foreign tourists again because of COVID 19, or your country does not allow you to leave the country, you can choose to move your reservation dates to a new time period, or alternatively cancel your reservation and receive a refund. The refund will not include our service charge.
4. Coronavirus: Insurance for tourists on the Canary Islands
The Canary Islands are the first region in Spain to insure all visitors against additional costs in the case of a coronavirus infection. The insurance covers medical expenses, the quarantined accommodation and the flight back home. This has been announced by the Government of the Canary Islands. The Ministry responsible for Tourism, Industry and Commerce has made the corresponding agreement with the insurance company 'AXA Spain'. With the signing, the Canary Islands made further progress in its commitment to strengthen and increase the safety and tranquility of tourists, said the Minister of Tourism, Yaiza Castilla. The insurance applies to both foreign and Spanish tourists. It goes into effect this week and has an initial validity of 12 months. Requirement for the entry into force of the insurance: the affected party must not have known before the start of the trip that they were infected with the pathogen Sars-CoV-2.
